Limp Bizkit Upgrading Venues To Arenas For Summer Headlining Run

Limp Bizkit have been upgrading the venues of their upcoming summer headlining run to arenas. A revised schedule is expected to be announced shortly. Band frontman Fred Durst commented on the decision with the following statement via Twitter:

“Moving US headlining tour dates from ampitheatres to arenas for a better limp experience. The reason coming soon on www.limpbizkit.com

The band will be touring in support of their new album “Gold Cobra“, which is expected to see a release later this summer.

@sawwar – How is that funny? KoRn is well… KoRn. I loved ‘em, but they’re done, as far as innovation goes. Same goes for Da Bizkit, yo. Just… just don’t put Deftones in the same sentence as either of these, mkay? Mkay.

Seems funny to me that so many people are in a rush to type their piece that they often don’t even finish reading.
      Ooops. just peed a little.

    • @robichaud1 you have to put deftones in with the other two. those three bands will be linked together forever. deftones rose above the heap of their genre to be a standout band. limp bizkit, it seems, is far from over, especially if they’re upgrading venues. and korn is turning into those hair metal bands from the 80′s that can only play your local venue as a nostalgia act.

    • sawwar, the size range of arenas is much wider than ampitheatres, i.e. from a place the size of agganis arena in boston (7,000ish capacity) to the boston garden (20,000ish), whereas most ampitheatres i know of are all generally very big, in the 10-20k range. im willing to bet these new venues will actually be a downgrade in size, though im sure the band would try to spin it as wanting to be more intimate and not restrict the fans with seats or whatever.

I can see how maybe (MAYBE!) for younger kids who weren’t old enough or into it the 1st time could maybe (MAYBE!) be stoked BUT anybody who lived through “The Bizkit” the 1st time around and is legitimately excited for a 2nd round seriously needs to reconsider everything in life because they’re a total fucking JACK ASS.

Korn are playing smaller clubs for the current tour out of choice they will be playing arenas again this summer for mayhem. I’m not a huge Korn fan but I really can’t stand how cool and hip it is to make fun of them. I mean the way this site and members have sucked metalcores dick for the past few years I find it hilarious that people think they have enough clout to make fun of these bands. Because come on really they are just jealous that they could never be in a band and are stuck working at some local gas station and raising 4 children from 4 different men. And yes the deftones did release an amazing record but how many of you were part of the crowd that wrote them off after SNW came out? Come on get a life.

Korn and the deftones are always gonna be associated with each other, stephen carpenter is a huge korn fan, they also came out around the same time, toured together, and were best friends for a period of time, and SOME of there music sounds similiar, and I believe that korn was more of an inspiration to the deftones than deftones were to korn, afterall munky and head originated that sound on guitar that was copied by many…Deftones need to get chi back then they will be back on top for sure, but as for this limpbizkit tour issues?lol thats not a big suprise at all to me, I knew it right away for the fact that limp bizkit are trying to tour ampitheaters, there setting there sights way to high after just having a comeback, who do they think they are creed?!?!lol anyways limpbizkit need to wizen the fuck up and take things slower, theyve been broken up for years then they wanna just come back and tour ampitheaters your fucking crazy LB!
