Zao are continuing to write and demo new material for their next album with around 9 songs currently in the initial stages. According to the band the new material is shaping up to be “weird”.

Why not? They’ve fallen into somewhat of a slump with the past couple albums but they can still melt faces!

Why not? Cuz it’s a cover band of a cover band of a cover band of a cover band at this point. And 1 bad record MAYBE 2 is a slump. When 70% of your material is not that great you pretty much just suck. Haha. I held on long enough for these dudes in the past and they haven’t delivered a winner in my opinion since “S/T”. That was like 10 yrs ago.
i love zao. but the last 2ish have been lacking. i hope they don’t destroy their legend. these guys got me into the “core” sound.
Album will be shit unless they get Russ back. Scott is just fucking awful and needs someone to pick up his slack.
