Primus To Reunite With Early Drummer For Live Shows This Summer
Primus will be returning for a series of live shows this year with one of their early drummers Jay Lane in tow. Lane will be replacing the bands most tenured drummer, Tim “Herb” Alexander, who most recently has been touring with Puscifer. The shows will mark Lane‘s first performances with the band since 1989.
A message posted via Primus‘ newly launched Twitter merely stated “we are back!”. Meanwhile, a new teaser website has been launched at www.primusville.com, while the following shows were also announced:
July 24th Essex Junction, VT – Midway Lawn (feat. Gogol Bordello, Heloise & The Savior Faire)
July 27th Toronto, ONT – Sound Academy
July 30th Brooklyn, NY – Williamsburgh Waterfront (feat. Gogol Bordello)
July 31st Bridgeport, CT – Gathering Of The Vibes
August 09th Council Bluffs, IA – Stir Cove (feat. Gogol Bordello)

Does it actually matter who’s drumming for Primus? I’m pretty sure you only need a three piece kit, I would do it actually but I’m going camping one of those weeks.
Road trip to Iowa!!!
Not too well versed in Primus/drumming, are we buttcrack? All Primus’s drummers have been quite talented. Tim Alexander in general is a beast.
If Dave Lombardo filled in for Weezer, would the drumming be talented? Or would the drummer be talented?
