What does he mean “we”? Haven’t they changed members every single album they’ve put out? Haha, as long as it’s dirty as fuck I’ll still get it.
This is gonna be tits. Maylene is essentially Underoath Sr. now, seems like the vast majority of members of Maylene were in Underoath at some point in it’s earlier history.
If Underoath lived in the swamps of Georgia, drank moonshine, and raped pigs, they would be Maylene & T.S.O.D.
Yeah, they arent’ in Underoath anymore… because they are a bunch of hypocritical backstabbing posers. Just another band that uses the “christian” label to try to interject themselves into a popular scene. They can’t hold a candle to the real “christian” bands (Impending Doom, Oh Sleeper, Sleeping Giant etc.)
I’ve met and dealt with them… useless.
I’ve met (I don’t know what you mean by “dealt”) them too and they were great fucking guys, Dallas in particular. They played here a day after my birthday last year and Dallas handed me the mic probably 3 or 4 times, it was fucking incredible. They even played “Wylie” like me and my friend requested, and it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a band actually play a request and break off setlist. I couldn’t give two shits about their personal lives, personal convictions, and honestly if you really took to heart all the shit Oh, Sleeper and Sleeping Giant are saying, they’d say not to judge them either. They aren’t and have never been on a Christian label, and I can’t think of how they’ve exploited anything to do with being christian at all. Their success is based on making sweet ass southern metal/rock and putting on a fucking killer show. Underoath is lame, shit, I’d have left them too.
It’s cool, I understand that people like them, and they are nice guys when they need to be… I guess I just have a MAJOR problem with one of the members and I shouldn’t let that skew my attitude toward all of them… but sometimes I do I guess. But even he was really cool to my face… and then I was really backstabbed by him. I won’t get into it… but trust me… if you were me… you would not be a fan either!!!
And you might think Underoath is lame… but they stand for something, and to me that’s important in music… it’s not important to everyone… that’s totally cool too.
Any way, sorry to bust balls… I just get sick at the mention of this band!
