You know…if this album will actually be a return to form, and bring back the good days of the self-titled, life is peachy, follow the leader, and especially untouchables…then I will consider buying it. Unfortunately I do not see that happening. This band has not put out a good album in a loooooong time.

    • if it sounds anything like untouchables, im cursing this record. untouchables was an even bigger step into them taking all the godsmack fans and sounding like a bunch of lazy musicians even more. it was all down hill after that record.

lets hear some porno creep grooves, it wont happen though, never again. jon davis thinks he can sing. anyways……..

      naked babies on fire!!!!!!

@peanutbuttercrunch, you can’t seriously believe Untouchables was any good?

The last album they put out with any character to it was ‘Issues’.

I liked Untouchables. It was weird at first, but just like with any other band, if you love them, it will work out for you. I really liked Take A Look In The Mirror too. I like most of See You On The Other Side, but that was pushing it for me. I have absolutely no use for Untitled though. And like I said, if you love a band, everything they put out will be alright, but I’ve lost the love. They were my favorite band in the history of the world for quite some time, but the band is gone. You can’t lose two crucial members and still get it done. Unless you are Megadeth.

Yes I can believe Untouchables was good, in fact imo it is their best record. “Hollow Life” remains to be Korn’s best song ever, to me anyways…Issues on the other hand…remains in that category of “shit” Korn albums as far as I am concerned and Untouchables was a HUGE improvement. Seriously…ever since Head left, they should have given it up. He was a key member…David, eh not so much. The thing is…Korn has been around for so long, and they were the founders of nu-metal, and damn near everyone knows who they are…and they will continue to sell albums no matter if take a shit in a cd case and sell it…which is pretty much what they did with their most recent releases, so that proves that statement right there. Korn for me is just a band with a few really awesome albums, and the rest just blow ass.

    • it went downhill with SYOTOS for me, the Untitled album was even more forgettable, I really liked Take a look in the mirror and of course all 5 records up until that

    • Yea I pretty much agree. I mean, at first I didn’t really like Untouchables, but then it really grew on me. Now I like most of tracks on that record. I think “Make Believe” is another track that peanutbuttercrunch forgot to mention…along with “One More Time” and “No One’s There” …So yeah, for me, post Untouchables was pretty wretched Korn music…a few decent tracks here and there, but for the most part, yikes. I think Ross Robinson can bring them back…it’s proof in the first song “Oildale”…

I gotta agree with allichs. After Take a Look in The Mirror that’s when they started to fall off and for obvious reasons. Although there are a couple songs on See You On The Other Side and Untitled that I like it’s not enough for me to say they were great albums.

If they have Ross Robinson as the producer for this there’s a good chance of it sounding as raw and heavy as their old stuff considering he produced the first two.

Shit if it’s anything like Take a Look In The Mirror I’ll be stoked because that was their last good album. They even took a song “Alive” that I think was a b side or demo for their self titled album and they re recorded it and put it on Take a Look in The Mirror..

They do put out meaningless stuff sometimes though like Korn: Live and Rare everything that’s rare on there you can find at the end of one their albums and on a couple soundtracks so there’s nothing rare about it.

And KoRn should never be unplugged I still cant get the courage to buy that album I grew up listening to KoRn and when I heard that I thought it was a joke. That’s something of theirs to never check out it’s atrocious.

So that’s 2 albums there that just feel like cash ins

and they already have 3 greatest hits albums out one of them being a box set of 3 Cd’s so technically that’s like 5 Cd’s of greatest hits. It’s almost as many greatest hits Cd’s as Aerosmith or Motley Crue. Here’s the links for them

      http://www.amazon.com/Playlist-Very-Best-Eco-Friendly-Packaging/dp/B0016CP29K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1272224052&sr=1-1

      http://www.amazon.com/Korn-Greatest-Hits-Vol-1/dp/B00049QKHO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1272224125&sr=1-1

I know one is a legit Greatest Hits but the other 2 just feel like cash ins.

But anyway can’t wait for this album I really hope it’s better than Untitled because that was horrible.

I will never, ever give your opinion any credibility after that. You are by far the worst judge of musical integrity that I’ve ever encountered on this website. Everything you wrote in that post was pretty much wrong. I’m going to almost guarantee that 98% of the posters here agree with me. What does that tell you about your opinion? Exactly. It’s wrong. Sorry buddy.

The last album I thought was any good was their self titled album. Everything after that was just crap. I’m sorry I can’t agree withe the rest of you. I really wish I could.

Well guess what Aries Veil? I really don’t give two shits about what you think of my opinion, because to think the opinion of an arrogant jackass like yourself holds some validity would be stupid of me. And what exactly makes you the all-knowing judge of musical integrity, so much so that you can automatically say everyone else’s is shit? Oh wait a second…you apparently know everything there is to know, so of course you MUST be right…ALL the time. Get the fuck over yourself. Yes…you keep on thinking that 98% of the posters here will agree with you, beyond that go one step further and think that the entire fuckin world will agree with you. I however, know for a fact I am a good judge of musical integrity, so everything on that post was right as far as I am concerned. So needless to say there pal, take that pedestle you sit on, along with your extremely ignorant opinion of my music taste, and shove it up your ass until you can taste it coming out of your mouth. Sound fair? Good.

“pedestal” (I’m an editor, I have to do this.) I think everybody here jumped off the KoRntrain at some point, it just depends on which album. I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone say “Untouchables” was the best KoRn… I’m not sure how that can be justified. BUT. I own it. HOWEVER. This was the last album I bought. It didn’t hook me enough to look into the next album, y’know? Frankly, I think I outgrew KoRn and now enjoy more… substantial music. That said, I don’t plan on getting rid of any of my KoRn stuff (self-titled through Untouchables). I also don’t plan on buying anything by them ever again. I’ve had enough. My faves in order: Self-titled, Follow the Leader, Life Is Peachy and Issues (tie!), Untouchables.

The only good KORN albums were selftitled and Life is Peachy. BUT.. I can’t even force myself to listen to them anymore.

Those records came out when I was in middle school.. and that’s the last time I listened to them. SORRY!

They wanted to put 3 in the title like Slipknot did with Vol. III The Subliminal Verses. That was Slipknot’s 3rd album though (technically 4th) so that made sense…even if the 2 albums before it didn’t have roman numerals in them.

But yeah I’m guessing them calling it Korn III- Remember Who You Are is because there’s only 3 original members left and I guess the title shows they wanna go back to their roots before they lose more fans lol.

I think my favorite albums by them in order would be Self Titled,Follow The Leader,Issues,Take a Look In The Mirror,Life is Peachy,Untouchables,See You On The Other Side, and Untitled.

@peanutbuttercrunch, well thanks for the kind words! I didn’t mean to get you raging like you are, but in retrospect i was a little harsh. If you love Untouchables, then that’s fine. Who am I to pass judgement on what someone else likes or doesn’t like. I think the point I was making, is that when you post in the future on any band, I won’t be giving your opinion any consideration due to your poor taste in music. Also, I don’t expect the entire world to agree with me about whether ‘Untouchables’ is absolute garbage, but if you want to get technical, I own every single korn album, single, import, and radio promo from prior to the Selftitled, to Take a Look In the Mirror. I worshipped Korn when I was a teenager, they (as well as other artists like Quicksand, Deftones, Rage Against The Machine, Nine Inch Nails, Helmet, etc..) shaped my own personal musical tastes, and also exposed me to ‘alternative’ music at the time. I realize everyone is entitled to their own tastes when it comes to music, but for you to try and suggest that I don’t know what i’m talking about when it comes to Korn is just simply not true. I’m sorry you’re tastes are so terrible, and mine are so refined. I guess that’s just the way the cookie crumbled?

Well like I said before, I could really care less about whether you give my opinion any consideration. You think I have poor taste in music…well you are dead wrong about that. I happen to own 1000+ cds, a great majority of them the real deal…and besides Korn albums (self titled, Life Is Peachy, Follow the Leader, and Untouchables) I own also a bit of everything, some ambient techno, some hip hop…my tastes in music are very diverse, excluding pop, country, and a great majority of emo.

“but for you to try and suggest that I don’t know what i’m talking about when it comes to Korn is just simply not true.”
Yeah? Well now you know how I feel when you say that my musical integrity sucks, when it doesn’t…and you just dig yourself a deeper grave by saying something even more ignorant such as “I’m sorry your tastes are so terrible, and mine are so refined” Just stop talking altogether.

buttcrackguy, that would actually work except for one thing…none of their albums suck:)

Awwww, we just love eachother and respect everyones own unique little opinion dont we?? Haha, i actually heard through the grapevine(DJ for a rock radio show, they get to listen to releases early) that this album is pretty solid, even with the OG guitarist out it actually sounds like old shit, back to their roots. Imma give it a try but that last one….phew! stunk like a roadkill cookin on a 200 degree black tar road! I dunno bout anyone else but that album came across as kinda whiny and crybaby like, definetly not as cool as the first couple ones.

I never said that none of their albums suck…I don’t know where you got that idea. Self-titled, Life Is Peachy, Follow the Leader, and Untouchables are the only good ones, imo…the rest suck. Thought I made that clear. But hypothetically speaking even if I did say that none of their albums suck I would be entitled to that opinion and you would have nothing to say about it…and your “having better taste than you” statement would be completely invalid no matter how you slice it so…nice try there turbo.

Imo, Issues only had four good songs on it…those being “Falling Away From Me,” “Make Me Bad,” “Counting,” and “Somebody Someone” were the only ones I liked…yeah four songs out of sixteen…not even close to making it a tolerable album for me.
