Tool Bassist Readying New Album From M.T.void Side Project

Tool bassist Justin Chancellor has been working with Peter Mohamed on a group dubbed M.T.void as of late. The band have a new album by the name of “Nothing’s Matter” in the can and the outing is reportedly expected to feature a guest appearance from Mastodon‘s Brent Hind among others.

For now, mastering of the album recently took place with Bob Ludwig and footage of those sessions can be found below along with a preview of one of the albums tracks:

      Just because you are the bassist for Tool does not mean you can take a shit in audio format and have it be great. You gotta be a serious Tool fanboy to go for this.

      one of the most promising projects around this days. at least there are still musicians that take chances and go to the edge. big up J.C. it might be a sleeping giant. bring on the lyrics fuckers!!!

      Ooh, I’m pumped for this. Hinds as a guest makes it even spicier. Honestly, I haven’t listened to the clips above (at work… bleh), but I’m interested, regardless. I do hope it’s better than the Voltodon stuff… which was okay, but nothing to write home about…
