Brain Drill‘s new video for their track “Beyond Bludgeoned” has debuted online via Bloody Disgusting and can be found below. The clip was shot with director Nikko DeLuna. “Beyond Bludgeoned” is taken from the bands forthcoming new album “Quantum Catastrophe“, which will hit stores through Metal Blade on May 11th.

The above two comments pretty much sums things up for me in my old age. One guys scoffs @ speed, the other digs it. (I’m a bit of both)
I’m an old metalhead. All the kids can play a bazillion miles an hour these days. While it’s still killer, the song writing has to be there. So while the guy from Brain Drill *might* be faster (note that Brann has played in many bands with different styles) Mastodon currently kills /most/ death/technical metal on songwriting.
Still, good up on Brain Drill.
I just hope their speakers don’t get too dirty…and I tell ya, when Farmer Willy sees them out in his pasture and hears them making all that unholy racket, he is going to spit bloody wood chips. Watch out Brain Drill….Farmer Willy and his cows are coming for you!
Mad skills, not great song. I’m over sweeps, speed and any other gimmick. Give me good structure and better writting. On the same token, damn you dudes certainly can shred!
