Uh….John Otto…bring that beat back? Hey Fred Durst, that was crap. Please try again.
Its 1999 again! Fred Durst must have used his chocolate starfish to bring that beat back.
it sucks that they will actually sell records and make money with this garbage….
Wes looks as freaky as usual
Oh, …it’s THAT time again, guys!
You’re doing that ‘crazy talk’ thing again allichs. Always with the ‘crazy talk’…..
Where the fuck is my time machine? I wanna go back to when this shit was cool, and then maim Freddie D in the fucking mouth…
I personally want this to be bad ass. I am not afraid to admit that Limp Bizkit was there for me when I was young and starting to listen to “aggressive” music. More-so after years of listening to aggressive music and broadening my music taste, I have been more prone to listening to old hip-hop, gangster rap and some new rap music. When putting the idea of Limp Bizkit down on paper, if it is done right.. it should be awesome and it should be something that I enjoy listening to. I can go back to 3 Dollar Bill Ya’ll limp bizkit and still kind of enjoy it (in a nostalgic..laughing kind of way) but none-the-less enjoy.
What if Fred Durst took a step back, realized what doesn’t work now a days and changes his voice/style in a good way? I mean really.. who doesn’t want a fucking heavy, hip-hop collaboration that actually works?
I sure as hell do.
I do not. If I did, I would listen to that Serj and Wutang track, and then call it a night.
@ jnafe – I guess there’s nothing inherently wrong with a rap/metal combination if it actually works, as you said. The problem wasn’t the format itself; it’s the fact that it became such a huge trend at the turn of the century that it turned really, really fucking lame. But still, there were a few that were cool. I still like hedPE (yep I admit it, bring on the hate!
and that Fear Factory/Cypress Hill duet on “Digimortal” is still positively badass. Hell, as a Machine Head fan, I can’t bring myself to dismiss their rap/metal adventures on “The Burning Red” and “Supercharger.” I just can’t. I like it. In 2003, someone asked Scott Ian why Anthrax did “Bring The Noise,” since it helped kick off the insufferable trend. He replied, “it didn’t suck when we did it.” And that sums it up perfectly. I might lose some of my Metal cred for saying this stuff, but hey, a good song is a good song – no matter what the fashion police say.
The first hed album is still the best rap metal album of all time. Nothing, and I mean nothing can compare to it. It still holds up to this day.
I loved hed pe. The first album was awesome, and it reminds me of back in the day when I saw them with Snot, who I totally love and wish we still had. But that Fear Factory/Cypress Hill song is horrid. Burton’s rapping is the worst ever in recorded format. I am the ultimate FF fan, and Back The Fuck Up is one song even I shy away from.
LB did help me segway into harder music, but I hate them and KORN now. As far as listening to 3 dollar bill ya’ll for nostalgia’s sake, I hate how fred started almost every track by shouting something stupid before the music hit(“shut up!”, or “mellow out!”. He is such a douche, why couldnt it be him driving lynn straits vehicle that faithful day. How does that sonuvabitch still get to live? Fate is a scornful ironic bitch and I wish Jahred from HEDp.e. would curb stomp Durst for us all.
listened to (hed)p.e. self titled last night. ken 2012 and bitches.
all the first albums back then owned. why? because 100% emotion was thrown into the records. Korn got away with 2 albums like that. s.t. and life is peachy.
b.t.w. snot is an amazing summertime band mixed with my sublime, deftones and whatever the fuck else.
This album is gonna be as wack as a 3 dolla bill, yall.
