Taproot‘s new video for their track “Fractured (Everything I Said Was True)” has debuted online and can be seen below. The song serves as the first single from the bands new effort “Plead The Fifth“, which will see a May 11th release date through Victory.

It’s not the worst song they’ve done. I heard a couple other clips from some of the new songs and they do sound more like the Taproot of old. I’m not going to hate on them until I hear more. This is just one of those mandatory radio songs, pretty much like Poem. I usually skip Poem because it just got too much play and I got tired of it. I’m anxious to hear some more, only because the first two albums were badass and they deserve another chance. We shall soon see…
I guess I’m going to have to agree with buttcrackguy. — We will see, hopefully they are back in Gift mode.
I think Taproot is one of those “guilty pleasure” bands that people have a hard time admitting to liking.
Myself, I enjoy “Gift” still from time to time.
