    • Does anyone on this website even remember what nu-metal sounded like?

let me show you an example:

      Coal Chamber’s “Big Truck” –> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtVYCWp4QI8

Just listen to that for one minute, then come back to this video.

Anyone saying it’s nu-metal is ignorant. Now I’m not saying that I like or dislike this music, but to sit around saying something is “nu-metal” when clearly it’s not is just fucking retarded. oh and for the record, I think this sounds fresh. I’ll check the CD out.

    • What the fluffy is up with the players damn pause button damnit! I do not want to keep being directed to your website Beef Injection! -Anyway, never even heard of this band until this post. Their branding reminds me of Skrape or Videodrone. Amusing.

There are already a bunch of bands doing the same thing as these guys. It’s nothing new, and it’s watering down a genre that doesn’t need a bunch of followers. I’m not familiar with all of their stuff, so I checked out their myspace page, and this song sounds nothing like the other songs. Bad news is that the other songs aren’t very good. The vocals suck. Now I know what it would sound like if Chester Bennington and Jamie Jasta had a child together.

Although this video looks like it cost all of $3.49 to produce, these musicians are absolutely top gosh darn notch.

Dexter, would you please direct us all to a link of your unfuckingbelievably badass band? I can hardly wait to hear what you are capable of.

Man, talk about extremes in here… from “trash” to “fresh” and “top notch”? Do I risk 5 minutes of my life and check ‘em out? Is it worth it? I need some more to go on. Comparisons to nu-metal, as well as The Devil Wears Prada (whom I’ve never heard, but yes – I judge by a name sometimes, and I fuuuucking hate this name)… are scaring me.

    • well, the thing is that some of the tracks from the CD were existing somewhere in the net as kinda demo-tracks. And they sound awesome, amazing, a bit of meshuggah and maybe a bit of dillinger feeling. So I was excited when I heard about their CD. And than, it appears that they’ve added vocals (obviously), what loosen a bit the kick in the tracks, IMO. So, generally… band worth nowing. But it could be better.

“Top gosh darn notch” is what was said. Take a moment for yourself and either spend it checking out the band, or planting tomatoes. Don’t waste your life wondering what to do with it.. And, and… do NOT fall prey to the opinions of others dictating what you should check out.

      Have a wonderful weekend,
      Love, 9

@Surly: Thanks for taking me back to Skrape bro….I was definitely into them back in nu-metal’s heyday….but with this band it’s definitely the vocals that kill it for me. Even his screaming is lame. So many fucking whiny ass Chester Bennington emo-ass singers that CAN’T sing nowadays!! Shit…the singers of bands like Skrape, Cold, and Nonpoint are way better than the dime a dozen emo crap that’s thrown out now!!!

    • @BOM – Always a pleasure to reminisce you with man! I reckon we need some big ass leather chairs, cigars and bottle of single malt whiskey to help with shooting the breeze on this shit. Hehe.
-I must confess though, this bands music is pretty impressive from a technical standpoint.

The vocals ruin it for this band. That’s the problem with 90% of bands out there- they can put together a decent song, but then the guy in the front opens his mouth and it’s either: a) shitty wanna be death growls, or b) gayer than gay vocals.
