Deftones To Debut “Diamond Eyes” Video Online Next Week, Teaser Available
The Deftones will be debuting their new video for their track “Diamond Eyes” online this coming Tuesday, April 13th. For now, a teaser for the clip, which was directed by Roboshobo (Metallica, Mastodon), can be seen below. “Diamond Eyes” is the title track to the bands new album which will see a May 04th release date through Warner.

I see Stephen is throwing in his love for Meshuggah and Mnemic…2 bands he really likes. When I first heard this part of the song, i thought Meshuggah style. And as of late, Mnemic too, who are also trying the Meshuggah style. Doesnt sound like Deftones to me at all..but hey..Stephen likes to throw in his influences. I guess thats better than him throwing in the ‘whats in’ deathcore and breakdowns from all these bands that sound the same and that are popular right now.

Cool, sounds chunky. No Meshuggah here, wtf, I don’t see it, hear it, or smell it. And Meshuggah smells pretty distinct. Like a boiling vat of metal and blood. Mwahahaa!

Stef pretty much saves this album, it’d be a pop fest without him.
Oh, and it doesn’t sound like Meshuggah. It sounds like When Knives Go Skyward.
