I tried it out. It’s not the same riff. On my laptop speakers it can sound somewhat similar, but on my stereo it’s not. Everyone does it anyway, just listen to a few DEP albums.

Daron Malakian is the most over rated piece of shit guitarist in mainstream rock today. I cannot fucking stand that douche bag and the enormous ego he hefts around. Everything that guy touches fucking sucks and I saw him rise from a mediocre nu metal guitarist to the king of all fags. Fuck that guy, fuck him in his fucking ass.

This may have single handedly ruined any excitement I had for this CD.

    • @ RXinfection- that was a funny fucking rant.
ps. does your name have anything to do with the RX bandits?
@ buttcrackguy- i love DEP. i would never hold d. makakian to their standard even though I think the first 3 SOAD albums rule with an iron fist

I don’t really care about Daron the person or his ego, but I love his style. When you hear a song and can immediately identify the guitar player, that says something. Zakk Wylde’s signature squeal that can only be made with a Les Paul is one. Steph from the Deftones is another. You know a Korn song (at least the Head Welch stuff). There isn’t a metalcore gutarist out there that can do that. I know that Oli from All That Remains is an absolute brilliant guitarist, but like Simon Cowell says, there’s no “wow factor.” I’ve always liked Cypress Hill and this song is so far my favorite on the new album, I’m for sure buying it on the 20th.
