Nice, looking forward to this…
Are you just speaking for your butthole when you say you are looking forward to this??
@BOM – you mean his/her chocolate starfish?
Last time I was this hyped for new Limp Bizkit was in 2005 with Unquestionable Truth but they let me down on that one I only liked a song or two on there. So as long as it’s better than that I’ll be happy. I’ve been a fan of Limp since I was 13 I’m 23 now so I’m definitely interested to hear what this is gonna sound like and can not wait to pick this shit up (and for you haters I stress the word shit lol). I just think it’s crazy that the world is getting a new Deftones,Limp Bizkit, and KoRn album all in the same year that’s awesome. I think last time that happened was in 2003.
Whether I like the new cd or not I know regardless I’m gonna see it in the used section at my local record stores….that’s just how it is people have different opinions on shit i’m not gonna let it get to me Limp Bizkit is definitely not for everyone lol.
bizkit for world domination,
oh fuck haters by the way
I’m about as interested in this as I am in a new Land Before Time movie. What ever happened to simply outgrowing you’re old tastes? Why is it always “hating”, and not just simply musical maturity and integrity. I can’t stomach half of the shit I used to listen to back in high school, this band included. I’m just not the same dumb fucking punk kid with my red hat backwards anymore. Sorry. Pass.
@RxInfection…Hahaha, so fucking true dude. For the most part if you’re still into Limp Bizkit and what Fred Durst is all about, then you’re more than likely a douche. God, how I wish Pantera were still touring so they can wipe LB off the face of the earth for good. “THE TREND IS DEAD! AND GONE FOREVER!” SELL IT, BOX IT, SAVE IT, FRAME IT…You won’t need that anymore…it’s on sale at your fuckin dollar store” Philip Anselmo needs to slap Fred around a bit…
@James Deceit, i agree with you and i’m 23 also so that probably has alot to do with it haha, i’m just nostalgic as hell and i’ve been waiting for this album since 2003 pretty much.
@rxinfection and stuckpig: i love your glassjaw username btw, amazing band. but in terms of still listening to Limp Bizkit, i don’t see the problem. It’s not about the failure to outgrow anything, hell, most of the shit and all the nu-metal/throw away bands i used to listen to back in 2000 i don’t anymore what so ever, i’ve definitely “outgrown” alot of that over all the years, expanded and learned about tons of various genres and styles of music, and i love everything from Sigur Ros to Converge to Limp Bizkit to Minus The Bear to Gaza etc. Basically, i don’t care about any stigma’s music has, if it somehow gives me something, i take away from it. No matter how old the music is or, new, out of style, in style, cool to hate, cool to love it’s all besides the point to me. Idc if someone doesn’t like LB, i don’t care if someone loves or hates anything i’m into or not into, but i don’t think it’s a question of maturity or musical stature by any means. Personally, alot of my best memories stem from the era where i was really into LB. Most people including myself just hold special ranks with certain music, despite the taboo of being into these groups or artists. I say fuck it, like what you like even if it’s Britney Spears, if it did something special for you in your life time, it’s worth holding on to imo.
SHARP TOOTH!
hopefully their not the head liner at ozzfest that make me cry. or atleast violent.
@Vujaa De – Bahaha, way to go Littlefoot
.
@allichs – You need to lay off your catchphrase, “fuck the haters” shit is becoming tired and meaningless. Like someone who says, “that’s what she said” all of the time.
@Ganglor – “You need to lay off… THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID!”
@magmouth Yeah man it’s purely nostalgia for me too I grew up listening to them so I can’t not buy the album. I might be the only person that liked Results May Vary I think haha.
Pantera is my favorite band so yeah I’d prefer that over Limp Bizkit any day. I don’t think it’s possible to outgrow old tastes for me though…if it’s a piece of my memory and it brings me back and makes me feel alive and have a good time I can’t really go and put it down and move on because then I just feel like I’m turning my back on something I love which is music. I find myself getting into more artists than talking shit about them.
I mean obviously I listen to LB less a lot less now because there’s a ton of other shit I’m into but I’m not gonna write them off. Once I get into an artist and I really like them I try to stay loyal to them and pick up every album they put out…and if it sucks I just wait until the next one…or I just listen to their older shit because usually every artists’ older shit is way better.
I dunno what Limp Bizkit is about but I’m pretty sure I’m not a douche for liking them. I think their about having fun and living life making money doing something they love doing. Which is pretty much what every band wants to do or sets out to do.
But if I do decide to get a red baseball cap for the new album I might wanna make sure it’s a Mets one….but I hate baseball so fuck that shit.
I also think Ozzfest is gonna have a hard time finding good bands to play this year but hell nothing could be as bad as 2001 or 2002. For the record I would of went to 2001 and I did go to 2002 but I think I would of liked 2001 more because that wasn’t Ozzfest it was Nu Metal Fest…and it was mostly what I listened to at the time I think I bought Cd’s from 12 of the bands on that lineup at Target for like 8 bucks each Freshman year….and now they just sit in my cd spindle collecting dust.
Hey all – new poster here, but I’ve been going to this site for years.
As for the Bizkit hate – I really don’t get it. They aren’t metal – they never claimed to be. They’re rap-metal – it’s easy, so if you like that sort of thing then enjoy it – I’m looking forward to this. I’ve liked Limp since their debut and I think they always have potential to release good fun sh!t.
I’m also the kind of guy who likes Six Feet Under though too so I’m down for all kinds of hard music. Why can’t we get along? For fcuk sakes let’s all stop r@ping each other’s faces.
What if they turned hardcore metal in this album? hahahahahahahahahahahhahaahahahahaha
I wish they would go metalcore with this album so that everyone else wouldn’t think it was cool anymore and we could get rid of it once and for all.
haha, I don’t think anybody would know how to respond to it if they turned metal.
@magmouth…yea, you’re right and everyone’s entitled to their opinion.
@ Surly: Touche (LOL)
@ allichs: I’m going to assume that you are also speaking for your chocolate starfish/butthole
@ buttcrackguy: I couldn’t agree more!
