This is a very fitting end for Korn, I couldn’t think of a better graveyard for them. Congrats on joining the worst metal label in the history of metal.

HERE HERE aries veil. I concur, this is a last ditch effort by a label that most of us have grown weary of. Have fun being behind the eightball with nickelback on top of the mountain.

Not sure I understand the context of your statement Tom. Care to enlighten me as to what you mean about ‘the rock i’ve been living under’? I mean, if you are referring to how RR records is now some kind of amazing metal/hard rock label, or how it WAS an amazing label, then please share with me your unique insight? I truly am confused as to your statement. ;)

Billy Talent, CKY, Dream Theater, Killswitch Engage, Megadeth, Rob Zombie and Trivium FTW. I’m also partial to Collective Soul from my teen years.

    • aries, you seem to not realize that korn is still quite popular (how, im not sure), so its sadly far from the end for them. and despite how shitty roadrunner is now as far as metal goes, they are more powerful than ever, so its really not a bad move on korn’s part.

Don’t hate. Roadrunner wants to make money. Anyone with a slight idea of music before 2000 respects what Roadrunner helped produce.

Just putting out Death alone is enough of a reason.

As far as i’m concerned, Korn broke up after Issues. As far as Roadrunner’s roster of artists. Other than Glassjaw, Slipknot, and Machine Head, I couldn’t give a flying fuck about any of the artists on their roster past or present. In fact, to be blunt, I personally never liked any of the artists (remember like, and respect are 2 totally different things) on the label.

Korn is still successful, but I don’t know if I would go so far as saying ‘popular’, I bet you find more My Chemical Romance, and Thursday fans at the mall, then you do Korn fans now a days.

True, true. It’s sad what Roadrunner Records has become. Their past roster included many influential metal bands. Us older dudes look back at that and sigh with disappointment, considering all the shitty bands they have now. But on the other hand, you can’t blame Roadrunner for wanting to make money. After all, it is a business. You give people what they want. And if it’s crap like Korn that people want, then that’s what they’ll get.
