    • Love it. Takes me back visually and musically with them indeed. Their last 2 albums are the only cd’s I’ve actually gone out and paid for in the past 8 years or so ever since napster came out. I can’t wait to grab this one as well. Deftones Worldwide.

    • @Aries Veil – Yes
      @Surly – I know
      @Will – Dick as in singular? I may be old fashioned but I like some variety when it comes to my dicks

      Seriously though, I don’t get why you all have such a hard on for this band. So I mock/make fun of them. How have you not caught onto that yet? Like a few of you have already commented, it reminds you of earlier Deftones material which I will admit was good for it’s time but do you really want more of something that’s basic structure is the same it was 10 years ago? Don’t you realize that’s the reason why Linkin Park and Killswitch Engage are still popular and sell? Because people become complacent with what they have always known? So why push oneself creatively when you know the same old same old will sell? I am not saying there is anything wrong with sticking to your thing for a while but after 10 years take some chances and some risks. If you’re still around after all that time you can surely get away with it.

      And with that argument aside, how can you consider this a good music video? The cuts and camera work are shitty, the lighting is all over the place (level wise), and as a drummer it always irks me to see drum mutes in music videos. Oh, and Be Quiet and Drive was a better video than this. If you’re going to imitate previous works then do it better than it was done the first time. Blech…

    • damn Ganglor…..u sure do sound like a sad person. I think your point could have been made without using Chi in your point. I guess you would prefer blast beats and scales. Well, we have bands for that shit and we love it. But, this is the Deftones style and no one sounds like them. Have you considered that it would look pretty vain to make a huge big budget video while Chi’s family is having to pay tens of thousands of dollars a month just to keep him progressing to the point where he might be able to walk by himself, talk coherently, and piss and shit properly? No, you didn’t, because you’re a sad downer.

    • @Surly – Sexxxxxxy
      @sclay32 – I am not a sad downer, I am pretty psyched/happy every day that I am not in a coma and can function normally. Bazing! Who wants to feed the troll next? :)

    • Alright first off… Killswitch and Linkin Park DID change their sound, hence the reason why the new Killswitch record is doing whatever (even though it’s not bad) and the last Linkin Park record didn’t sell CLOSE to Meteora or Hybrid Theory. They went in different directions, people disliked it…. end of story.

      Deftones change on every record. EVERY RECORD. This is nothing new, but they do have a very distinctive style. It is very DEFTONES. Not because Chino is singing, but because it is their style. Even when they cover “No Ordinary Love” you can tell it’s them, it has that flow of being undeniably Deftones. And if ANY OTHER BAND had done something like Rocket Skates it would’ve been whatever, but only the Deftones can make it amazing.

    • great track.. as for the video, it was a little “average”.. even doing something simple like showing the “story” of it in reverse or some sort of cliff hanger wouldve gone a long way

      ,but great song, once again

    • Ganglor is posting his thoughts on a subject that is arguably incorrect. His insight ,in my opinion, is well thought out but not accurate when using it in his defense on why deftones should change or progress. Like someone else posted they have changed and progressed but maybe to not your liking. I am a deftones fan so I can’t really speak from an outside perspective but I at least can tell you’re just ranting(like we all are here).

      I also really dug the video. It was a lot like “be quiet and drive” but with more sexual innuendo. Chino looked a little sleepy though and not as animated. Overall it had a good vibe with nice mood shots and sensual lighting.
