Chad’s guest appearance: no surprise at all
Chad’s guest appearance making a bad song worse: even less surprising

Nonpoint have never been able to fully recapture the exciting edge they had on Statement, although they’ve come close a few times. What happened?? I accept with a heavy heart the fact that Chad has lost his mojo and his involvement in ANY project is a risky proposition. I like Hellyeah, but Mudvayne hasn’t really rocked since 2002. Dude… whiny radio-single rock is NOT the reason people got into your band. Write some proggy, mean & aggressive songs already!!

Well put. I was big into Statement as well when they first came up. Totally lost their edge. The dive they took however is not quite as bad as Mudvayne ever since The End of All Things To Come. That album was truly the end of all things good to come from Mudvayne.

You know, if it wasn’t for their last album (“Vengeance”) being so terrible, I’d say Nonpoint have had a pretty good track record thus far. I’m a fan from way-back, but in my opinion, “To the Pain” and “Recoil” blow “Statement” completely out of the water.

As for Mudvayne, they’ve fallen off considerably, but I think their latest album is a lot better than it’s been given credit for.

They didn’t need Chad’s help to make this song shitty. I’d rather listen to Miley Cyrus’ Party in the USA song on repeat for an hour over the last Mudvayne album. At least she came up with something catchy.

what the hell happened to nonpoint’s singer’s voice. i am an old school fan however after the second record they have been on a shit cycle. now the lead singer sounds like he has a dick in his throat. knowing when to throw the towel in is a foresight few bands have these days. look at muhammad ali, fighting the good fight when you are not in your prime just hurts you in the long run.

I actually really liked “Development” – it was the record that REALLY got me into Nonpoint and I’m pissed that they totally ignore that record now (look at the live DVD they released a couple years back… not ONE Development song on there). “Recoil” and “To the Pain” were both great records, but “Vengeance” pretty much blew with the exception of 2 or 3 songs, and this song is … ehhhh
