Killswitch Engage frontman Howard Jones has stepped down from the band for their current headlining run with The Devil Wears Prada and Dark Tranquillity as a result of “unforeseen circumstances.” All That Remains frontman Phil Labonte will temporarily be filling in for him for the next few shows until a plan is solidified.
The group released the following statement on the situation:
“KILLSWITCH ENGAGE vocalist Howard Jones is leaving the band’s current headlining tour with The Devil Wears Prada and Dark Tranquility due to unforeseen circumstances. All That Remains vocalist Phil Labonte will be filling in for Jones for a few shows in the interim, until the KsE guys can determine what the plan will be for the remaining tour dates, which are currently scheduled to run through the end of March.”

Jesse Leach – your phone is ringing.
Now Phil can finally be in the band he’s tried to mimic for years!
Phil was pretty much in Killswitch Engage until Howard Jones tried out lol. They really should call Jesse Leach though cause that’s what everyone want’s to see. I know I do. But Phil touring with them should sound pretty good.
If I’m not mistaken Phil was the original singer of Shadows Fall, not KSE.
Jesse Leach was the original man for KSE.
Seeing Jesse front Killswitch again would be the shit, but these three bands have such a close history together that nearly any of the members are interchangeable.
[...] No Killswitch Engage for me. “KILLSWITCH ENGAGE vocalist Howard Jones is leaving the band’s current headlining tour with The Devil Wears Prada and Dark Tranquility due to unforeseen circumstances.
