Mastodon are gearing up for an April/May headlining run with Between The Buried And Me, Baroness and Valient Thorr as support. Initial dates for the trek run as follows:
April 24th Burlington, VT – Higher Ground
April 26th Greensburg, PA – Palace Theater
May 03rd Albuquerque, NM – Sunshine Theater
May 04th Tucson, AZ – Rialto Theatre
May 15th Omaha, NE – Sokol Auditorium
The tour is expected to be officially announced shortly.

This is a pretty epic lineup.
HOLY SHIT! 3 of my favorite bands (Valient Thorr is alright). If there’s no Kansas City dates, I may have to drive to Omaha for this one.
Crack The Skye and Blue Record are among my favorite albums of 2009 and I can only assume Between the Buried and Me’s latest album is great too

Agreed with the Minnesota comment. I don’t want to drive through this shit weather all the way to Nebraska to see what will probably be the best line-up this year…But I will if I have too.
I’m not familiar with the opening opener, but the other three are a match made in Heavy Metal Heaven. Nice job.
If nothing else, Valient Thorr put on amazingly entertaining show.
