Trivium Recording Sepultura Cover
Trivium have been in the studio as of late recording both their new track “Shattering The Skies Above” and a cover of Sepultura‘s “Slave New World“. “Shattering The Skies Above” will appear on the upcoming God Of War III videogame inspired digital EP, “God Of War: Blood & Metal“, which is expected out on March 02nd. It is not year clear where the cover of “Slave New World” will surface however.
For now, band bassist Paolo Gregoletto checked in with the following update via Twitter on the sessions:
“Rhythm Guitars and Bass complete for Shattering the Skies Above and Slave New World. Corey solo time!”
In the meantime, fan-filmed live footage of Trivium performing their cover of “Slave New World” late last year, complete with band guitarist Corey Beaulieu handling the vocal duties, can be found below:

crap band
This will be epic. Funny saying they’re a crap band coming from someone looking forward to seeing Winds of Plague.
I wish some bands would cover some stuff from Beneath The Remains or Arise (my personal favorite). They started dumbing down their sound a little with Chaos AD and Roots, which for some reason are everyone’s favorites. Which would actually explain a lot about the state of music today.
seems like they are always ripping a sound or doing some sort of taking of another
I met them a few years ago, they’re cool except for Matt, he thinks he’s James Hetfield
Isnt all triviums music a rip off of some other thrash band
Band sucks and their frontman is an awful douchebag. Recipe for a shit sundae? Yes I think so.
The Kool-Aid has been passed around way too many times. Most underrated band in metal…give Shogun a listen and tell me differently given everyone’s attitude about them.
