Suicide Silence, P.O.D., Inhale Exhale, The Letter Black and more performed covers of Deftones songs at this past weekends benefit show for ailing Deftones bassist Chi Cheng -- who continues his recovery from a car accident that took place back in November of 2008.

The show, which was held at The Slidebar Cafe in Fullerton, CA this past Saturday January 16th, saw members of members of the Deftones, Korn, P.O.D., Suicide Silence, Skid Row, Chevelle, Dream Theater, Machine Head and more take to the stage.

Those interested in helping out Cheng can find more details at www.oneloveforchi.com. Meanwhile, fan-filmed footage of the following performances from the show have surfaced online:

Suicide Silence -- “Engine No. 9“:

Inhale Exhale (feat. Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D.) -- “Back To School“:

The Letter Black -- “My Own Summer“:

Nothing like mediocre metal bands trying to cover songs they hardly know… a note to Inhale/Exhale, LEARN THE SONG before you show up to their benefit show and completely butcher it. Shameful.

If these covers weren’t bad enough to make Chi regain consciousness then nothing will.

I didn’t see any deftones, korn or machine head members at this show. Although Steven Adler showed up and performed with LIT members.

Inhale Exhale are the only ones worth a mention. Solid band….Would’ve liked to have heard them do MX or BQAD instead.
