Pantera Deluxe Editions, Vinyl Reissues In The Works

A recent “Guitar World” interview with Pantera‘s former manager Kimberly Zide Davis revealed that a series of Pantera reissues and re-releases are being planned for the coming years. 2010 will see the 20th anniversary re-release of “Cowboys From Hell“, complete with new packaging, digital remastering, demos and live material.

Additional plans have similar reissues set to surface for “A Vulgar Display Of Power” in 2012 and “Far Beyond Driven” in 2014. Beyond that, preparations are also underway to re-release the bands entire catalog on vinyl, as well as a possible new live DVD outing.

This is probably the best news ever I am going to re-own all of these cd’s again in the coming years. Holy awesome. Andu I hope that dvd does get made cause that would freakin’ rule. Cowboys From Hell and Vulgar Display of Power are gonna sound even more badass now with that remastering going on because if you pop either of those in the cd player it’s not as loud as all the other cd’s that are made nowadays. I just hope they dont pull a Metallica and make it too loud.

Exciting for sure…I’m still hoping Vinnie will finally release the “new” Damageplan material they were writing right before Dime died. He needs to focus on that instead of Hellyeah….unless they can get someone with a smaller ego and better talent than Chad Gray.

    • It seems like, on the audio front, we’ve gotten about all we’re gonna get from these guys. Is there still a b-side out there that hasn’t been heard? Personally I’ve never been much into remaster jobs.

    • in the interview their manager said there really isnt any b-sides cause they never recorded any throwaway tracks, so pretty much everything that exists has been released.
