This whole new “Fear Factory” kinda stinks like a Dino Cazares fart. Nothing against the SYL rhythm section, but without Wolbers and Herrera, this factory needs to be condemned.

Not even the epic awesomness/fatness of Gene Hoglan can save this band from sounding like recycled trash.

Fear Factory sounded great when everyone was nu-metal jumpin & bumpin. They’ve somehow devolved into a metalcore band

    • Oh come ON. Did you even HEAR the last album? Talk about a disappointment! And that Arkaea CD? It was OK, but that was originally supposed to be FF material! Can you imagine???

FF has been rescued from Wolbers and Herrera’s dithering. You heard me. Christian’s great on bass, and while Archetype was a great album, he just couldn’t cut it on guitar when compared to Dino. And Herrera had plenty of chances to wow me on Transgression and Years in the Darkness, and sadly he didn’t. Sorry, but I’ll go with Hoglan this time around.

Nu-metal? huh. Maybe, if you include as nu-metal Pantera, Type O Negative, Sepultura, and any other ’90s band that influenced that trend. Please. Nu metal and metalcore may have ripped off FF, but don’t blame them for having an original sound. I for one look forward to more of it.
